Louise Horner – AVA Morocco Founder and Supporter

Louise first visited Morocco in 2009 on a holiday with her friend and fell in love with the country and the way of life. She then returned in 2014 and 2015 with groups of students who participated in community work in the village of Imlil. Having built a strong bond with the community Louise returns 3 or 4 times a year bringing donated clothes and toys for the children of the remote villages of the Atlas Mountains. As a teacher in the UK, Louise is passionate about every child having the opportunity to complete their education.


Ahmed Amzil – AVA Morocco Committee

Owner of and Dar Tighoula Guesthouse in Imlil, Ahmed was born and bred in the village of Ait Souka in the High Atlas Mountains. Having left education at the age of 14 years to seek work to support his family, Ahmed understands all to well how important it is for children to have the opportunity to complete their education. Ahmed is well respected by the community he supports and nothing is ever too much trouble for him.


Brahim Amzil – AVA Morocco Committee

Owner of Brahim is passionate about providing employment opportunities for the local Berbers of Ait Souka. Fortunate to have been able to complete his Baccalaureate and therefore attend the training school for official guides through the support of his brother, Brahim recognises how important it is to help develop language skills in a community dependant on tourism.
